Mojstrana lies at the foot of the Julian Alps and the Karavanke. Settlement, is an excellent starting point and connection of the natural sights of the alpine valley Vrata.

The valley Vrata offers a variety of sports and recreational activities in unspoiled nature. The Vrata valley is adorned first by Lake Kreda in the middle of the Kreda forest (intended for viewing and rest) and later by the Peričnik waterfall, which falls 52 m deep, and is interesting both in summer (you can walk under the waterfall!) and in winter (magnificent ice stalactites). 

The Vrata Valley ends with Aljažev dom, here is a popular viewpoint (great photo location) on the northern wall of Triglav and the starting point for many ascents to mountain peaks.
