Triglav

On the Slovenia360 portal, you can experience the ascent to Triglav with 360-degree panoramic photographs, allowing you to virtually taste the atmosphere and enjoy the view from this iconic peak.

The highest Slovenian peak, Triglav (2864m), rises from the heart of Triglav National Park, which covers 840 km2 and is among the oldest European parks. This unique natural gem is located in the area between Bled, Kranjska Gora, Bovec, Kobarid, Tolmin, and Bohinj. It includes most of the Julian Alps, which have been declared a biosphere reserve since 2003.

At the highest point of Triglav, which is accessed with the help of pegs and steel cables, stands the Aljaž Tower, known to climbers as a symbolic end of the first ascent with a 'baptism' performed with symbolic blows of a rope on the backside.

Triglav is a popular destination for visitors throughout the year, from mountain lovers to top-notch climbers who tackle the challenges of the north face. The difficulty of accessing Triglav depends on the chosen route.

Even those who are not fans of mountain adventures can experience magnificent views of the Triglav north wall, as the Vrata Valley is an accessible point for observing this natural beauty.
