Izola

Today, Izola is a seaside tourist destination, which is slightly different from other major seaside towns because it still resembles its original activity, i.e. fishing, oil and wine production. These preserved cultural and natural sights make Izola more attractive and charming.

A very recognizable photo location is at the Marina in Izola. It is a wonderful walk along the marina with views of the sailboats, on which the bells are ringing, and a view of the peaks of Triglav behind them.

The old part of Izola narrow streets are beautiful and come to life especially in summer, when tourism is at its peak. Galleries and museums and cultural events invite you to visit Izola.
Izola has a lot of hinterland in unspoiled nature, on picturesque hilly plateaus with olive groves and vineyards. It is nice to get to know the typically populated old villages with stone Istrian houses. From here there are also inspiring views of the Gulf of Trieste.

In the hinterland you can discover authentic local inns and visit tourist farms and get to know the coexistence of the inhabitants with the nature of the Istrian hills. In these places you simply have to let yourself be pampered with the excellent local culinary offer offered to you at every turn by the very hospitable locals. You can go to the Izola hinterland on foot, by bike, on horseback or by car.

Izola has some charming hotels and apartments. With the help of viewing 360 panoramas from the air, you will get closer to the claims that Izola is an extremely charming tourist destination. With a 360 panorama, you can also walk around the Marina Hotel and see some of the sights of Izola.
