Socerb - castle Strmec

The compactly built medieval village of Socerb is entered in the Register of Real Estate of Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Slovenia as settlement heritage. The village at the top is adorned by the unique Socerb Castle (exceptional photo location!), Set on the edge above the coast. Near the castle is the Sveta jama, a karst cave with the only underground church in Slovenia. Beautiful views from the castle reach into the Gulf of Trieste and the Bay of Koper.
